Biography

Babalola Mathew Oluwatobi is a seasoned media and development communication professional with over a decade years of experience driving impactful community and human development initiative projects across Nigeria. With a strong focus on youth engagement, cultural performance, and advocacy against gender-based violence (GBV), Babalola has consistently used the power of storytelling and media to champion behavior and social change. Babalola’s expertise spans script writing, directing, production management, script supervision, and project facilitation rooted in a deep passion for research and cultural development. He has played key roles in transformative projects such as the Nigerian Stability and Reconciliation Programme (NSRP), Education as a Vaccine, and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) campaigns. As a media strategist with Haandz Infinity World, he contributes to high￾profile GBV media campaigns for the Nigerian Governors’ Wives Forum (NGWF). He worked with Flint Productions on Makarantan Radio (Koyi A Take), a groundbreaking radio drama series designed to educate Nigeria’s estimated 18.5 million out-of-school children, with a major focus on Northern Nigeria. Most recently, he directed a development communication output including (visual & audio-visual) designed with World Food Program (WFP) to combat the issue of malnutrition in northern Nigeria. With multiple screen credits, including Nigeria’s official 2025 Oscar submission (credited as writer), Babalola continues to harness his creative and organizational talents to bridge the gap between storytelling and social impact.
